Writers Organize! We are novelists, journalists, nonfiction book authors, scriptwriters, website writer/creators, public relations specialists, poets, short story writers, Internet and multimedia content providers, cartoonists, and technical, business and instructional writers. We write for love; we write for money; we write for both. The Boston Chapter - Chapter 4 - was established in 1983. We represent freelance writers in Central and Eastern Massachusetts and the Islands, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine. Our Chapter's 200+ members (and 1700 members around the country) work to press the publishing industry to adopt writer-friendly provisions in book, article, contract and literary journal contracts, and in the electronic media.
