Good writing must be organized. As freelance writers, we know this to be imperative in our work. And it's just as imperative that we organize our efforts in order to advance our standing in the publishing industry. That's why the NWU's Journalism, Book and BizTech* divisions work to improve the economic conditions of writers by coordinating and channeling the energies and experience of Union members and activists. Among their activities our divisions spearhead innovative organizing campaigns, provide researched guidelines, literature and databases, and host invaluable professional development seminars. *Business/Instructional/Technical/Electronic − generally defined as work where you don't keep the copyright.
