Discussion listsThe National Writers Union, on the chapter and national levels, offers several discussion lists. Many of them are open to non-members.NWU BOSTON DISCUSSION LIST You can use this chat list to announce your upcoming reading or recent publication, ask questions, tell about an upcoming event, share a job opening, give an opinion on writerly topics, etc. To subscribe, address email to NWU-Bos@nwuboston.org. Subject area: type subscribe Message area: type subscribe nwu-bos and then your email address. For example, Joe Blow would type subscribe nwu-bos joeblow@aol.com. Once you receive confirmation, post messages to: NWU-Bos@nwuboston.org. NWU-CHAT: NWU members (and non-members) from around the country join this electronic chat list to swap information and ideas online about the business (pay, contracts, problems with editors, electronic rights, copyright, etc.), and art of writing. To subscribe, send a blank message (no subject, no body text) to nwu-chat-subscribe@topica.com. From this list and the other lists, once you're subscribed, you'll get instructions as to how to post. Some lists are moderated; most aren't. It's generally the same address as the one you subscribed to, without "subscribe" (e.g., nwu-chat@topica.com).
